Cambridge Gatherings.

We are now a core group of around nine OSBs, from Cambridge and the surrounding area as far as the Wash and always meet at 7:30 pm once traffic has died down, and midweek when the pubs and restaurants are quieter. We meet in various attractive central Cambridge pubs or nearby, recently a favourite has been the Red Lion in Grantchester, to eat and socialise for an hour or two. We normally gather every four to eight weeks and would very much welcome other St Beghians who would like to join us. Please do contact me (John) for further information.

Our next, the 17th, Cambridge get-together will be on Thursday 6th August 2026, at the Red Lion in Grantchester, at 7.30pm.

Shortly prior to this will be our July boat trip, kindly hosted for a second time by Robert Middleton (FN 50-54) on his boat on the Broads. Last year, we were blessed with great sailing weather – fingers crossed it is the same this time!

Following the summer activities, we will resume our usual gatherings every couple of months in the autumn and beyond.
